Clubs at Briarwood allow your camper to pick his or her favorite activity and participate in that activity during first period every day. We offer the following clubs to allow your camper to tailor his or her camping experience to their desires:

Clubs are chosen twice a season, so your son or daughter can get an exposure to two different clubs if they choose!

SWIMMING PROGRAM

The Briarwood Day Camp Swim Program is a comprehensive program taught by certified Red Cross instructors. We strictly adhere to the Red Cross guidelines of swim instruction, which include Levels 1 ? 7 for instructional swim. Briarwood accommodates swimmers of all abilities and allows them to progress at their own developmental rate.

Our afternoon swim schedule consistes of free swim for our campers. Briarwood Day Camp enforces the ?Buddy System? enabling campers to swim safely while having fun. We feel that this is the proper procedure to follow because it allows campers to swim with a buddy to ensure their safety.

Our highly qualified and energetic swim staff is determined to make your child?s swimming experience both safe and successful. We are looking forward to spending next summer with your children.

ROCK WALL & ROPE CHALLENGE COURSE

Briarwood's Rock Wall and Ropes Challenge Course stresses safety in a fun atmosphere. Our Rock Wall offers three different climbing courses for all skill levels. At the top of the wall is the zip line, every campers' favorite reward for climbing the whole rock wall.

Our ropes challenge course features a tight rope, tire swing, cargo net and many other skill building activities.

All ropes course facilities are inspected and all staff is certifed.

BMX COURSE

Your child will love the BMX course at Briarwood! All campers wear saftey gear and are closely monitored by trained staff to ensure their time is fun but safe.

ARCHERY

Briarwood's archery area is fun and safe for all campers in 3rd grade and above. The staff is trained to ensure all rules and safety regulations are followed. Campers can also join the archery club and compete against other camps!

BOATING (KAYAKS & PADDLEBOATS)

When you camper comes to Briar Lake they can explore the waters in either a kayak or paddleboat! All campers must wear life vests and are closely monitored by trained staff.

DRAMA SHOWS

Briarwood Day Camp is very proud of their successful drama program. The campers take part each summer in a bunk show choreograped by our experienced drama department along with our very talented bunk counselors. The shows are a hit for all Briarwood family and friends. It's one of the highlights of the Briarwood summer.

Those campers who show an interest in the performing arts are encouraged to join the popular drama club. The campers in this club take part in a musical production that is performed the last week of camp. The shows are a huge success and we always get rave reviews.

We look forward to the 2010 shows and hopefully your camper will be a part of it.
